Metta meditation is a type of Buddhist meditation. In Pali, a language closely connected to Sanskrit and spoken in Northern India, “Metta” means positive energy and kindness toward others. The practice is widely known as loving-kindness.
This Loving Kindness meditation by Jasmin Harsono will help cultivate kindness for all living things, including yourself, family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, difficult people in your life, animals, nature, mother earth and the universe.
The concept of loving-kindness involves reciting positive phrases toward yourself and others.
It is recommended to practise seated if possible. Try first thing in the morning or just before sleep.
